Play & Learning together
We encourage children and carers to play together at our Stay and Plays to develop language, communication and social skills. Playing together strengthens family bonds and raises children’s self esteem. Engaging in purposeful and stimulating play also encourages children to develop positive aspirations towards learning and will hopefully lead to higher school achievement and better job prospects in later life
A variety of sand, water, paint, playdough, role play, construction, baby toys and books are available to choose from. Sensory play develops children’s understanding of the world and enables them to be creative thinkers and problem solvers.

Wednesdays offer a 'Taste for Life'
'a fun, free hands-on session with seasonal fruit and veg for parents/carers and toddlers to discover through exploration, discussion, play, songs, crafts and cookery. We share the food we cook at the end of the session!
We never ask the children to taste things, but they often do when they see others experimenting. By discovering new foods in a playful way, children are more confident to try them without the pressure to 'eat your dinner'!
why not visit the taste for life website to find out more about this exciting project: www.tasteforlifenursery.com
