SpeakEasy - Talking to your child about
growing up, sex and relationships
Course Content
Lots of people feel embarrassed talking about sex and relationships, but that's OK – if you're honest your child can learn to trust you and know that it's OK to be embarrassed too. You can still help your child learn about sex even if you don't feel very comfortable talking about it. That’s why SpeakEasy is such a great course....Its fun too. Every parent who has completed it has really enjoyed it!
Having a mom or dad, gran or grandad or other trusted adult that they can share their questions and worries with makes all the difference as children go through those tough times of puberty and beyond.
Good sex and relationships education can raise the age young people first try out sexual activity and cut the rate of teenage pregnancies, abortion and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
It can also help children’s emotional development, help them stay safe and feel more confident talking about sex with a partner when they're older – Really good reasons for joining this course!
Don’t wait until they’re in their terrible teens though – you can find out how to talk about lots of different topics in a way that’s just right for their age, even if they’re toddlers. It’s even a good course for would-be parents.
